Alright. I need ideas here. Well, believe it or not, in person I'm not the most social person in the world. My 16th birthday isn't until August, but my family is planning it now.

They don't know what to do with me though since I don't have that many friends. After all, it is the sweet 16 so it has to be kind of special. Any ideas or something? Hmm, maybe I could just have a party by myself! woot!

Well, let's see, I don't know if this is doable for you, but last year for my 15s my parents wanted to do something special, but I couldn't be bothered with the traditional party. So I just got my 6 closest friends, and rented a hugemungus house in orlando, with a pool and a bunch of other stuff, it was huuuuge, and my friends and I just spent the weekend there. it was like one giant sleep over but the fact that it wasn't in my own house but in somewhere new made it all the bettter, so did the road trip part. it was reallly great.

Hmmm why not have a zone party. Lol JK. I know I should be serious here. Well, maybe you could invite the friends you have and have a barbequew somewhere, somewhere it's green and nice.

Hey there. Well, How do you get along with your relatives? I often had parties and just invited my family when I was a teen as I didn't hang out a whole lot outside of school with a lot of my peers. So that may work. Alternatively, gather up a small group of people from school or something and have a get-together.

I like the extended family idea. If you're going to invite a stack of people from school you don't know that well, it probably has to be a pretty casual thing. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with a small birthday do, with just your close friends and family. Maybe a cocktail or mocktail party. I know a couple of people who did mocktails for their 16th, and it's still a lot of fun mixing them without the alcohol, and then there's the sugar-rush. It also depends a bit on what you like. I love beach parties and pool parties, but they're not for everyone. One of my friends is a real film-buff, so for her birthday we rented a little old-fashioned cinema, and got in her good mates and family, and it was really great! Another friend is really into ice-skating, and in highschool she had a few birthdays at an ice-rink. Or else, I know it sounds daggy, but having a theme can really work for a small party. Hippies, or 80s, or roaring 20s, or anything you like! It gives you something to centre the food and drinks and music around, and costumes are just fun! as well as a good starting point for talk. It also makes a house party more interesting, and if it's just you and your good friends, it distinguishes it from a normal night in. That was quite rambly, but just my thoughts. I love party-planning!

me not the party type usually just did things with my family. We are bar-b-que types we usually hit the beach or river and grilled out.

Why scream in horror, that could be awesome. lol If you're seriously planning to invite a few friends, let one o of them be your boyfriend. I know that's a big "duh", but I wanted to advise about that in case tit happens to be ont of the random things you'll forget. lol

I'd do somethign with your closest riend. Go out for pizza or something. Just hang out with them. you don't have to make it a big production. Smile.

i think maybe, you could go to a nice restaurant and hang out with some foods you really like and invite your friends and family.
my parents always did that. they would take me to dinner and that's about it.

I think the best would be to invite a group of your closest friends, some family members and do something that everyone will enjoy. Yeah, putting a theme on the party would definetely make the celebration more interesting. Hey, i hope you've already figured something out. Enjoy your party !
